2017 London Origin Series
The London Origin Tag Rugby Series will take place on Saturday 13th May at Southwark Park, Canada Water.

The series will kick-off at 2:30pm and feature London’s best Tag Rugby players in a classic north vs south battle.

The series is a compulsory training date for Great Britain players to get hardened match practice ahead of the Tri-Nations with Australia and Ireland in July and the British & Irish Cup in September.

Great Britain players will be split across North and South London with space remaining in all sides for non-Great Britain players to sign up and take part in this high intensity series.

With South London winning the series in 2016, North London will be looking to bounce back. North London are on four series wins (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015) and South London on three series wins (2011, 2014, 2016).

Eight divisions will take place; mixed open, men’s open, ladies’ open, mixed seniors (men 32+, women 29+), men’s seniors (29+), ladies’ seniors (26+), mixed social beginners, mixed social intermediate. Each player will have three 40 min games.

This year’s Origin series will be in aid of charity. 50% of profits will go towards a charity to be announced, while 50% will go towards the Great Britain Tag Rugby team to subsidise travel to Ireland for the British & Irish Cup. Further fundraising activities will take place during the day and at the after-match social.
